MOBILE SCULPTURE
“ in 1999 I was casting in resin all sorts of lips for different art works and found myself with a surplus of resin lips. At the same time there was at SFMOMA a retrospective Calder...I went on to use the lips to make mobiles combined with wire. At first the mobiles were very simple in structure. With time the structures became larger and more complex, playing with scale, rupture and balance within THE BOUNDARIES OF SMALL studio space. In the last few years I went on to produce some other types of mobiles with fiberglass structure and resin cast.”
